Logo and name for the Highlands Hub, a proposed community and market building in the Highlands neighborhood of Denver, designed as an alternative solution for a traditional outdoors farmers' market. I worked on this project with architect Mark Gerwing, whose ideas for a multipurpose structure inspired the idea of a flexible and useful neighborhood "hub". Instead of a purely outdoor market space that would be very seasonal, this space could house a partially sheltered farmers' market in the spring, summer and fall, or an enclosed arts marketplace in the winter. Upstairs, a community space could be used year-round for meetings, classes, or other activities. An open front area on the street would welcome passers-by and could be used as a café on non-market days. The space would be a focal point for the Highlands neighborhood, known as an area with many residents in creative professions.
