Logo for The Morning News' annual Tournament of Books. One of the internet's leading independent web magazines, The Morning News offers excellent writing and intelligent insight into everything from the news to the arts and is a quirky, humorous, and literate way to start the day. I have worked with them over the years to design graphics and the Rooster mark for the Tournament of Books, which is an annual "March Madness battle royale of literary excellence". More recently, I was asked to help them develop a logomark for their main identity, also shown. This mark was needed to reflect the familiar "TMN" that most readers use to refer to The Morning News, and was designed to be used on the website, on products and print materials, and as a distinctive avatar and icon for use in additional locations online.
